That's a bit out of nowhere, honestly. She's been wandering around Lager Woods and Bavan for so long-- because while she rose to the top of Plegia's peaks, it's only added onto her suspicion. Keep people away. Everyone dies. Such is her curse.]

[Killua didn't see the purpose in taking pay from Koshosho for something he'd do for her anyway. She was as useful to him as he was to her, so they might as well make it mutual. Her sending him to Rota where he found his friends had just been the tipping point.]

[Oh, perhaps what he's got is even juicier than she imagines, if it's not safe to discuss over the network. She understands.]

[Killua's heard it all over the network himself, he just wants to be cautious.]

So, meeting at the designated spot, Killua waves Koshosho down. She might notice he looks a little different than before, such as the wings he'd mentioned.]

Hey. Come on, let's get out of the street. [And into the candy shop.]

[Koshōshō looks a bit different herself-- her fingers are completely wooden now, with her fingernails simply turned into sharp points. There are now plants all over her, coiling down her neck, her arms, her legs-- they can't be plucked off. They've taken root in her skin.

But she's only chosen to let flowers grow on her, so there's that. And if they're not that pretty, at least they're short-lived.]

Alright. [She remembers this place. They weren't transformed then, were they? She briefly wonders if the shopkeeper would recognize them.

Hah.]

So, what did you want to tell me? I've got quite a lot to talk about on my end as well.

[More than a "bit" different, but Killua doesn't bat an eyelash at the changes. He'd braced himself, after all...and the last thing he wanted to do was make someone feel bad for these changes they had forced upon them.]

A lot. [He grabs a small shopping basket as he starts to lead her around the store and dumb chocolates into the basket.]

For starters, apparently the fog god is a woman, and the 4th god is a man named Elias Liewen. Whatever fog was claiming about 4th ruining our worlds seems to be a load of crap too, considering they apparently freed him already. [Listen, that all went down shortly after he arrived. He hadn't been paying attention.]

Someone on the network called "mordio" said 4th's father used to work in a lab with them in Bavan. You told me awhile ago about some guy who did experiments on monsters, right? I have a feeling the two are related.

[How kind of you, Killua.

She listens closely, eyebrow already quirking upwards at the very first statement. It's much harder to charm a god, much less a woman. If she even contemplates trying to curry up to the gods, this is going to be an uphill battles. Elias Liewen, she's heard something about-- mostly from his lackeys, though, so she takes their information with a pinch of salt.

And she has to remember that name. 'Mordio'. And a father of a god. So, what is a god? How do they have this power?]

That could be right. There must be more people like them in hiding. [Like the 'doctor' who apparently trapped the monsters to hunt them down for sport, so on so forth. There must be more. There must be.]

There seems to be another force other than the two gods, though. The monster which caused that mess of a fog.

You mean the black fog? Everybody was going on a rampage after that. A three-headed dragon even tried to eat me.

[Come to think of it, he didn't know much more than that.] Do you know anything else about it? I thought that fog was caused by an earthquake.

[At least, that's what it had felt like.]

Dear, I haven't ever heard of a living fog coming from an earthquake.

[But she's one of the only who knew (or thought) it lived-- with how it writhed and how it seemed to stretch for her as she ran, ran into the cars told them to drive swung through the trees dived off the cliffs. She's the mouse, and even though she manages to get out of the cat's grasp, she's still on the lower rung of the food chain.]

The mayors called for anyone who could to climb Plegia's peaks to see where the fog came from. Long story short, a mutated mess of limbs who seemed to know more than he was letting on was the one responsible for the mess.

[But she doubts Killua just wants the short story.]

...Okay. [Anyone would feel a little skeptical of that story, but he's not necessarily doubting Koshosho. He just wants to know more.]

How about the long version?

[Here we go, then.]

When we arrived at the mountains, there was already 'sentient', moving fog that dissolved people into nothing if they so much as touched it. They withdrew higher up the mountains when they got their fill. Think of them as extra mouths.

[As if that creature didn't have a lot already.]

Despite looking like such a mess, the monster we met at the top seemed capable of communication. I tried to reason with it, but in the end, we opted to fight instead. He had complete control over the limbs that mutated out of us. That made the confrontation quite a lot more challenging. We couldn't get much out of it before it tried eating all of us.

You fought it? [Killua's looking at Koshosho as if she just sprouted a second head. Since when was Koshosho a fighter? Did he miss the memo?!]

...Did you kill it? [Following up that befuddlement with earnest curiosity, he has a lot of things to ask, but knowing if the thing was dead or not was probably first and foremost.]

That's right. With all the blood and gore that came with it! Absolutely mortifying. I'll never volunteer for that again.

[She doesn't seem disturbed, though. Only annoyed.] And we did. ...At least, I suppose we did.

['Suppose'?]

[Blood, gore, everything sounds about right except for the mortifying bit, and--wait. Killua has to do a double take, his jaw dropping.]

What do you mean suppose? Don't tell me you didn't even check?!

Of course we did!

[look okay there was blood everywhere and stuff but. er. you know.]

I meant that with a creature like that, you don't know if they can't come back. After all, we've heard accounts of monsters like ourselves returning from death. Even if we did kill it this time, we can't presume it's gone for good.

Oh, right... [He almost forgot about the whole "monsters come back to life" thing that supposedly happens around here.]

Well I guess we'll know for sure if any of that black fog comes back. [He doesn't sound like he's looking forward to that, though.]
